Course of Life 5

Course of life 4

Course of life .2

The law of thought as destiny works in silence and is unseen. Its course is not perceptible by senses. A thought is a being created by the Conscious Light and Desire; and which when issued, has in it an aim, a potential, design, and a balancing factor. Like the needle of a campas, points to the final balance of the thought as a whole. The thought endures until the balancing factor has brought about an adjustment through the one who issued the thought.
Whenever the thought , moving in its course, approaches the physical plane, it causes the one who issued it, to be in place for exteriorization of the thought. An exteriorization can happen only when there is a juncture of time, condition and place.  Every thought , once issued, endures and appears cyclically, exteriorized as a physical event.
Events which affect a few or many, or a race or a continent, or the whole world, arrive to those whom they benefit or afflict according to the working of  the law of thought  as destiny. The thoughts press for an opening for exteriorization .
If they are  many people whose thoughts tend towards a similar event , they are gathered even from the ends of the earth to bring about the so called accidents. In these cases , the just suffer along with the unjust. The unjust are the evil ones in the present. The just are the unrighteous of the past.
In every life there are numerous events which are generally regarded as accidents. Such events are , to mention a few: birth at a particular time into a certain country, race , family, and religion. Birth into favourable and unfavourable conditions, birth into healthy or diseased body, birth with certain psychic tendencies and mental endowments.
Among these are opportunities offered to enter into a trade, a business or a vocation; chance acquaintances who cause, prevent or end associations in work or commerce; and conditions which lead to or hinder marriage and friendship.
Though the accident or the event may not reveal the whole past to him,  it may reveal that portion of the past which it is necessary for him to know.If he tries to understand, he will learn, and he will learn more, if he is willing to pay – he must pay any way. What he lears will bring him nearer to the WHOLE.

Course of life.1

Falling Upward

Pathanjali Yoga has mapped the whole journey, the whole pilgrimage of man; from Sex to Samadhi, from the lowest centre ‘moolatharam ‘ to the highest centre, the very pinnacle of evolution, the sahasrathalam. Yoga divides the man into seven layers, seven steps, seven centres. The first is moolatharam, the sex centre, sun centre  and the last is sahasrathalam, the God centre. The sex centre is intrinsically moving downward. It is your connection with matter, what yoga calls ‘prakriti’- nature. The sex centre is your relation with nature, the world that you have left behind, the past. The mechanism to move downwards exists in man, animals, birds and plants but only the man has the staircase and can Fall Upward.

The nature has mothered you up to now. Now the Mother says `leave the breast; be on your own’. Those who have understood it , they have taken the responsibility and have become siddhas and buddhas, those who have achived. Just as the genital organs are a subtle opening in the moolatharam, from the subtle opening you move downward into nature, into life, into the visible, the material, into the form.

Exactly like that , you have a non functioning organ in the crown of the head, there is also a subtle opening. When energy rushes there, that opening bursts open, and from there you come in contact with super- nature- call it God, perfected beings, siddhas, those who have already attained.

Your body is divided into male and female. Your brain is also divided into two brains. Two hemispheres. The left side of the brain is sun brain; the right side of the brain is moon brain. Your left nostril is connected with moon centre. Your right nostril is connected to sun centre. The opposite. The right side of the brain is connected with your left side of your body and vice versa. And unless you attain to a balance between the sun and moon energy, you will not be able to transcend the sahasrathalam.

You cannot transcend this as man; you cannot transcend this as woman; you have to reach there just as pure consciousness – one , total, whole. The duality as man and woman have to be dropped at this centre.

If you are a man, you have to be fully conscious of your own sun, your solar energy centre, your sex centre. When the  moolatharam is showered by consciousness , you will watch, and you will see that an energy is arising and moving into the hara centre (below the navel) into moon centre. And you will feel so blissful when the energy moves into the moon centre. All your sexual orgasms are nothing compared to it- absolutely nothing; there is ten thousand times more intensity when your sun energy moves into your own moon energy. Then the real man meets the real woman and there will be permanent orgasm.

If you are a women, bring your consciousness to the hara centre, and you will see your energy moving towards sun centre.
One centre is non-functioning; one is functioning. The functioning has to be joined with non-functioning: immediately, the non functioning starts to function. And when the energy is meeting, - sun and moon are becoming one- you will see that now the energy goes on rising upward.

In yoga symbolism, the moolatharam , the sex centre, is thought to be like a red lotus of four petals. The sahasrathalam is represented by as thousand petalled lotus- of all colours because it includes the whole.  Ordinarily, the sahasrathalam , hangs downward in your head. Once the energy moves through it, the energy makes it upward. When the lotus moves upward and blooms, it is said in yoga scriptures, “ it is as resplendent as ten million suns and ten million moons’.

Panchagavya

Panchagavya (or Bramha koorcham)
Panchagavya consists of five products from the cow: dung, urine, milk, curd and ghee. Panchagavya is prepared and used when performing rituals for ancestors at a particular lunar phase when the person or the house is to be purified after the death of someone in the family; when a housewarming ceremony is performed in a new house to ward off evil forces; on the day a young priest is administered the Gayatri Mantra with the sacred thread; and on Maha Sivarathri day, the day of Lord Siva. There are few quotes:

-       ekr;rptha jpUg;gjpfk;
eht[f;furh;/ ehyhe;jpUKiw

All these verses give an impression that Panchagavya is used to establish a link between living and dead, seen and unseen, physical and para physical, and earthly and heavenly forces.  Such a high esteem and status for a simple product from a common animal many sound paradoxical, but when the truth is unraveled, one is overcome with wonder.
Earthly beings are made up of five basic-elements, viz. Earth (body dry matter), Water (90 percent of the body is water), Fire (98.4 degree celcious), Air (oxygen to every cell) and Space, which are at non-equilibrium within each of them and also among them.  This is the reason for the existence of beings with all kinds of inequalities.  Indian wisdom says that these basic units are almost at equilibrium in the cells of a cow, that is why the cow has been accepted as near divine in Indian culture, and worshipped as Goddess from time immemorial.  It is called Kamadhenu, the giver of all richness to humanity.
The farmers used to perform worship to a cow after decorating the head and face of the cow while Nattukkottai Chettiar  community to whom the money lending was way of life in down south of the TN, worships the cow at the back and at the time of the house warming ceremony, the cow is to brought into the newly built house with its back facing the house believing that the Goddess of Prosperity (Laksmi) and Goddess of Wisdom (Saraswathi) dwell in the urine and the dung respectively.
According to ancient texts, all the beneficent forces like gods, devas, sages, yogis and divine spirits are said to dwell in the body of the cow.  The products from the cow have the ability to bring in the flow of cosmic energy, whenever and in whatever from they are used.  Cosmic energy, even a speck of it, when made to pass through a living system, transforms the living being to wholesomeness, removing the imbalances in its physical, chemical, biological and physiological aspects and harmonizes the basic elements which results in revitalization of the growth process.
At the famous  Srirangam temple  where the deity Swami Sriranganatha dwells, the daily practice  (during the visvaroopa dharsan by 5.00 AM) is to bring a cow, allow it to turn it 's back to the God and stand infront of the  sanctum; When the first  pooja is performed , the screen is removed at the entrance so that the God Ranganatha  could see the back of the cow where Goddess Laksmi is supposed to dwell.

The hump and horn signify the local breeds.  Hump is said to be sensitive to cosmic vibrations while horn prevents the vibration of any kind from anywhere.  Both regulates the inflow and out flow of cosmic forces in cows.  Cows and bulls kneel down if their hump is gripped with hand.  In castrated bulls, the hump is small while in un-castrated bulls, the hump is usually luxurious with dark shining hairs.  There must be a link between vitality and hump in animals.
Preparation:
a. The panchagavya is now being prepared from the raw materials sourced from exotic cows. But the potency of the Panchagavya is the best when the raw ingredients are sourced from Desi cows.
a.  The colour of the cow also matters as indicated in our ancient texts as belowand as informed by Mr.Saravana Guru, Nattasreeswaran Temple, Erode, TN:

b. There are two different versions of Panchagavya possible. One is for prevention of ailments and ward of evils (Samkara Gramam) and the other is for creative purposes (Sristi gramam) to promote growth and development. The former one is prepared with one unit  of dung + ½  the unit of Urine+ ¼ of Ghee + 1/8th of Curd + 1/16th of milk. The latter one is prepared with one Unit of milk + ½ unit of curd+ ¼ unit of ghee + 1/8 unit of urine + 1/16 of dung.
c. As per sage Parasarar the composition is given below:
01.   Urine from black cow (Signifying Varunan)
02.    Dung from white cow (Signifying Fire)
03.   Milk from bronze colour cow (Signifying Moon)
04.   Curd from red cow (Signifying Vayu)
05.   Ghee from light brown cow ( Signifying Sun)
Or all items can be obtained from Kapilai (light brown ) colour cow.
One unit  (palam) of urine, half thumb size dung, seven unit of milk, three unit of curd, one unit of ghee and one unit of water immersed with dharpa grass make potent Panchagavya or Brhmakoorcham. There are manthras to be chanted when handling the individual items, incorporation and preparation of Panchagavyam
d. Sage Prajapathi suggests other method as below:
One unit of dung, two units of urine, four units of ghee, eight units of milk, five units of curd.
Even among the desi cows, there are cows with sixteen special attributes (காராம்பசு) and natural markings on the body to indicate the sacredness of the cow. There is a message that the grithm prepared out of the milk from the fifth teat (rare occurrence) of a cow cures the ailments like cancer. There is a book in Devanagari language with tamil translation which deals with curative use of Panchagavya both for physical and  psychic violations by human in day to day life.

Joy and Sorrow

Your joy is the sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your
laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper the sorrow carves into your being,
The more joy you can contain.
Is it not the cup that holds your wine, the very
cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart
and you shall find it is only that which has given
you sorrow that is giving the joy.
When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth
you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Some of you say ‘ Joy is greater than sorrow,
And the others say, ‘ nay, sorrow is greater.’
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits
with you at your board, remember that
the other is asleep upon your bed.
Verily you are like scales between your
    sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty you are beyond
Sorrow and  joy .     --------Kahlil Gibran

Zen way...

On the sea of death and life
The diver’s boat is freighted
With ‘is’ and ‘is not’
But if the bottom is broken through
‘Is’ and ‘is not’ disappear.
The mind cannot become Buddha
The body cannot become Buddha
Only what cannot become Buddha
Can become the Buddha.
As lightening
Which disappears like dew,
Which vanishes like a phantom-
Thus think of yourself.
A mind to search elsewhere
For the Buddha
Is the foolishness.
In the very centre of foolishness.
The dew on the lotus leaf
Undyed by its colour,
Just as it is,
Is the real form of Buddha.
The shopkeeper in the shop, the worker in the factory and the farmer on the field—the dew on the lotus leaf, if it is uncolored by the leaf, then there is no problem. You can be the farmer, or a shopkeeper or a clerk or a master, you can be anybody—that is only the form. Deep inside, remain unattached to what so ever is happening around you. And you are a Buddha.

Go alone

for every word of 'Thinking and Destiny' is to mean
differently to different person until  one becomes
conscious of Consciousness

THIS first chapter of Thinking and Destiny is intended
to introduce to you only a few of the subjects that
the book deals with. Many of the subjects will seem
strange. Some of them may be startling. You may find that
they all encourage thoughtful consideration. As you become
familiar with the thought, and think your way through the
book, you will find that it becomes increasingly clear, and
that you are in process of developing an understanding
of certain fundamental but heretofore mysterious facts of
life—and particularly about yourself.

The book explains the purpose of life. That purpose
is not merely to find happiness, either here or hereafter.
Neither is it to “save” one’s soul. The real purpose of life,
the purpose that will satisfy both sense and reason, is this:
that each one of us will be progressively conscious in ever
higher degrees in being conscious; that is, conscious of
nature, and in and through and beyond nature. By nature
is meant all that one can be made conscious of through
the senses.
The book also introduces you to yourself. It brings you
the message about yourself: your mysterious self that inhabits
your body. Perhaps you have always identified yourself with
and as your body; and when you try to think of yourself you
therefore think of your bodily mechanism. By force of habit
you have spoken of your body as “I,” as “myself.” You are
accustomed to use such expressions as “when I was born,”
and “when I die”; and “I saw myself in the glass,” and “I
rested myself,” “I cut myself,” and so on, when in reality it
is your body that you speak of.
To understand what you are you must first see clearly
the distinction between yourself and the body you live in.
The fact that you use the term “my body” as readily as you
use any of those just quoted would suggest that you are not
altogether unprepared to make this important distinction.

You should know that you are not your body; you
should know that your body is not you. You should know
this because, when you think about it, you realize that your
body is very different today from what it was when, in child-
hood, you first became conscious of it. During the years
that you have lived in your body you have been aware that
it has been changing: in its passing through its childhood
and adolescence and youth, and into its present condition,
it has changed greatly. And you recognize that as your body
has matured there have been gradual changes in your view
of the world and your attitude toward life. But throughout
these changes you have remained you: that is, you have
been conscious of yourself as being the same self, the iden-
tical I, all the while. Your reflection on this simple truth
compels you to realize that you definitely are not and cannot
be your body; rather, that your body is a physical organism
that you live in; a living nature mechanism that you are
operating; an animal that you are trying to understand, to
train and master.
You know how your body came into this world; but how
you came into your body you do not know. You did not come
into it until some time after it was born; a year, perhaps,
or several years; but of this fact you know little or nothing,
because your memory of your body began only after you had
come into your body. You know something about the material
of which your ever-changing body is composed; but what it is
that you are you do not know; you are not yet conscious as
what you are in your body. You know the name by which your
body is distinguished from the bodies of others; and this you
have learned to think of as your name. What is important
is, that you should know, not who you are as a personality,
but what you are as an individual—conscious of yourself,
but not yet conscious as yourself, an unbroken identity.
